Between 2022–23 and 2025–26, the total annual cost of attending the LBS MBA program has steadily increased, influenced by rising tuition and living costs, as well as exchange rate fluctuations that have amplified the financial impact for international students.
Tuition Fee Inflation (Total): 40.17% (4-year trend)
Between 2022–23 and 2025–26, the total annual cost of attending the LBS MBA program has steadily increased, influenced by rising tuition and living costs, as well as exchange rate fluctuations that have amplified the financial impact for international students.
In 2022–23, the total cost stood at $139,290 and rose to $166,692 in 2023–24—a sharp increase of $27,402 or approximately 19.68%. It then climbed further to $178,553 in 2024–25, marking a 7.1% increase. By 2025–26, the total cost reached £148,685, or approximately $195,228 based on the tuition line’s exchange rate—an increase of nearly $16,675 or 9.34% from the previous year. Overall, from 2022–23 to 2025–26, the cost rose by about $55,938, a 40.17% increase in total.
Tuition was the primary driver of this rise, increasing from $117,575 in 2022–23 to $142,788 in 2023–24 (21.47%), then to $146,389 in 2024–25 (2.52%), and finally to $162,712 in 2025–26 (11.16%). The cumulative tuition rise over four years was $45,137, or 38.38%.
Housing Cost Inflation (Total): 69.4% (4-year trend)
Housing costs increased from $12,617 in 2022–23 to $16,530 in 2023–24 (30.99%), and then to $21,385 in 2024–25 (29.3%). While the 2025–26 figure is given as £2,232 ($3,027), this seems inconsistent with the previous pattern, likely due to mislabeling or a data entry error—£2,232 is typically too low for annual housing in London. Assuming the 2024–25 figure of $21,385 remains representative, the cost of housing saw an overall jump of about 69.4%.
Transportation Cost Inflation (Total): 98.5% (4-year trend)
Transportation costs fluctuated, decreasing from $1,524 in 2022–23 to $1,017 in 2023–24 (−33.3%), then rising to $1,833 in 2024–25 (80.2%) and further to $3,027 in 2025–26 (65.1%). Over the four years, the cost nearly doubled, with an overall increase of 98.5%.

Review Skills # Writing Skills
Movie Critics # Movie Directors
It is easy to comment, but it is tough to structure the essay from the perspective of the applicant and turn the essay into a winning application essay.
3) Aligning with the Culture of the School
A big part of editing and guiding applicants is in educating them about the culture of the school
Some schools have very ‘specific’ traits that they are looking for in an applicant.
If you don’t highlight them and lean towards general leadership or cultural narratives, the essay won’t work.
I will guide you through the writing process.
I will also iteratively edit the essays without losing your original voice.

Food Cost Inflation (Total): 105.1% (4-year trend)
Food expenses rose significantly, from $3,811 in 2022–23 to $3,814 in 2023–24 (no significant change), then jumped to $6,110 in 2024–25 (60.2%), and again to $7,813 in 2025–26 (27.9%). Overall, the increase was 105.1%.
Personal and leisure expenses saw more fluctuation, declining from $3,762 in 2022–23 to $2,543 in 2023–24 (−32.4%), then to $2,596 in 2024–25 (2.1%), and finally rising to $515 in 2025–26—which appears to reflect only the Student Association Fee and may not be directly comparable. If considered separately, this category would not show consistent data.
In summary, the LBS MBA has seen a substantial increase in cost over the past four years, driven primarily by tuition and rising living expenses. Exchange rate shifts have further heightened the financial burden on international students, pushing total costs up by more than 40% in dollar terms.
